Sometimes when training in Chi Sau your partner will feel pressured enough to cover up.
This could prove problematic. They will use this opportunity to regain composure and come back vigorously.

The most important point is to use pressure from your own forearm to bar the student from easily turning hack toward you. Do not let go too quickly as the striking hand also acts as a barrier to keep you safe.
This movement works very well when used quickly and forcefully.
